よりによって、善人の夫妻が新型コロナウイルスに感染したのは、本当に悲しくて、落ち込んでしまいますが、でも、国際的に人気の映画スターや名監督の代わりはいない…
…という現実を映画界と世間に突きつけてくれたトム・ハンクス・ショックの警鐘のおかげで、昨日から今日にかけて、感染封じ込めを目指す大きな動きになったと思います。そういう意味合いの視点から前向きに見れば、トム・ハンクスはやっぱり、スゴい運命を持った人だ…と、救世主のように思えなくもありませんから、感謝の気持ちも込めながら、回復をお祈り頂ければ…と願います！！
なお、現在はオーストラリアのゴールド・コーストの病院で隔離されているハンクス夫妻が自撮りに添えてくれたメッセージの最後に書かれている “ there is no crying in baseball ” は…、
1992年公開の「プリティ・リーグ」の中で、トムが発した名ゼリフです！！、いまは誰もが辛い時ですが、試合の途中で泣いていてはいけません！！、メチャクチャ怒鳴られますよ！！
Hello folks. @ritawilson and I want to thank everyone here Down Under who are taking such good care of us. We have Covid-19 and are in isolation so we do not spread it to anyone else. There are those for whom it could lead to a very serious illness. We are taking it one-day-at-a-time. There are things we can all do to get through this by following the advice of experts and taking care of ourselves and each other, no?
